This site exists for several reasons:

  • To let voters know that in most states they can vote at home
  • To let all voters know how they might escape poll lines
  • To help voters understand why voting on paper is safer, cheaper and easier than voting on a computer

This site is a labor of love!

I live in a state that votes 100% by mail or, as the Washington Monthly calls it, allows its citizens to “vote at home.” And I work for King County Elections, managing the website. I’ve been involved in civic life since I was a teen (debate team) and worked in DC as an intern in college before becoming a federal (and then state) lobbyist. I’ve worked in and around government for most of my career (with a detour into the tech sector).
